We at Land For The People did not write that FAQ--it is the general language that comes with this software. Below is info on settings we chose for this forum:

Sorry--for site security we have been advised that it is best not to allow avatar upload.

Uploads
Similarly, you will not be able to upload directly to this site. You can provide links to your content that resides on other sites.

Activating your account
As you likely already have noted, when you register to join our community, you need to click on the link in the email that you will receive in order to activate your account. Once you do that, you can log in and join us! Again, this is a site security issue.

Site security
When we refer to site security here, we are talking about spammers, hackers and their data collecting and distributing e-robots who have made offering and managing sites such as this more difficult.

If you have a propensity to hack or spam sites, we ask you please do this elsewhere and help us conserve wild and natural lands! Thank you!
