Privacy is sacred to us at Land For The People. We will not share the contact info you give us when you write to us. We will not share the contact or personal info you use to sign up for this Forum, other than the info you choose to make public. While you can choose to make your email address public in your posts, the default is that it not be public.
We may use your email address to contact you about LFTP related topics. For instance, we may email to let you know we've launched a newsletter or a new component for the website. By joining our community or writing to us and including your email address, you agree that we can contact you by email. We do not like spam, nor frequent emails so you won't hear from us much!
Though access to our data is restricted to a handful of LFTP organizers, and we take care to keep our site secure, we are not liable for the breach of our site by persons unrelated to LFTP. Data we store in order to host the Forum is typically only name and email address. You may provide other personal information to us when you contact us, though this is not required.
If you choose to follow links to other websites, you will be subject to the other site's privacy policies and not those of LFTP. This includes the link to our land trust partner: the donate link will take you to their webpage and you will then be subject to their privacy policies and terms of use.
We are not lawyers! Our intent in providing this information to you is so that you are informed about our policies and intentions and so that you have a plain language statement about privacy.
Site Policy for Young People
This site is geared towards a general audience and not specifically towards those below the age of 13. That said, we do not feel the content of this site would endanger young people.

We rely on the standard forms and information provided with the bulletin board software to inform you of this policy and implement the under-13 forum enrollment policy. Our ability to adhere to these policies relies on our viewers disclosing whether they are over or under the age of 13. We ask that you honestly disclose the information about your age so that we comply with the federal Act pertaining to protection of children (COPPA).
